Erga
Erga is a collaborative environment for expressing ideas with AI. It's meant to fill the gap between Google Docs, where the user writes everything by hand in a narrowly constrained format, and Claude Artifacts, where the user has great expressive freedom but can only exercise it by asking an agent to do everything for them.
It gives users unlimited expressive power without forcing them to give up control over their words.
The concept revolves around a document. Under the hood, a document is a collection of files that can be rendered as a single 'page' in a web browser:
You can use the Erga editor to edit the rendered version of a document. When you do that, your edits are applied directly to the source files, like this:

VincentNo, they got the metric system there, they wouldn't know what the fuck a Quarter Pounder is.

The Erga editor is also operable by agents. You can use the embedded agent to do that:

You can bring your own agent too! Use the "share with an agent" button to instruct Claude/Codex/Pi/Whatever to edit your document:
I'd like your help editing "index.html", an Erga document I have open in my editor. You can read and change it through the editor's API, working as my agent… API: http://127.0.0.1:4400/api/ext Token: erga_OIoY…

Erga documents are just web pages, and any web page can be an erga document. Erga feels like a normal text editor, but it's much more powerful:
- If it can be expressed in code, you can put it in your document
- Use the editor to choose the words, use an agent for styling, formatting, animations, demos, etc.
- There's no fixed document format, which means that you can use Erga for docs, slides, or anything else you can dream up
- It's fully multi-player. Share your document URL with a friend or colleague and they can edit too.
You can try it yourself by editing this document or creating a new one.
